Connecting with fossils has many dimensions – including artistic inspiration and personal wonderment. No prior experience is necessary. Interest is sufficient.

Known to many young students as Fossil Fred, Dr. Hotchkiss will bring an assortment of the fossils he takes to Vineyard classrooms. He hopes to engage you using these materials. Please feel free to bring fossils that you would like to show or to ask about.

This MPRI lecture is funded in part by a grant from the Martha’s Vineyard Cultural Council in collaboration with the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
